During an inspection in response to concerns
During this visit we spoke with people living in the home, some of their family members and the care staff. People living in the home and their relatives were very complimentary about the quality of the care provided by the care staff. Comments included:
"The care is phenomenal, there is no home in Tameside to match. The carer's are totally concerned about the resident's here. It's such a caring and loving atmosphere. For our relative it's about the care and they certainly get it from the staff here. All the staff are caring, the care staff, the cooks, the domestics."
During this visit we found that people were being supported appropriately to manage their future care and support arrangements and they had access to the relevant professionals for assessments of care needs.
We saw that people continued to receive care which was relevant to their needs. People living in the home and their relatives told us that the care remained 'exceptionally' good and that care staff remained kind, caring and attentive.
The relevant staffing levels had been agreed with the contracts and commissioning unit and we were informed these would remain in place until closure.
