During a routine inspection
We found that there were systems in place to gain consent from people before they started a programme of activity. People told us they were asked for their consent at the first session. Each person set personal goals and these were monitored and reviewed regularly. The eight people we spoke with said they would recommend the service to others. One person said' I can't speak highly enough about the service' People told us that they had achieved their goals and the staff were very helpful.
The provider had systems in place to manage the equipment used by the service. We found that staff were trained in the use of equipment. Maintenance contracts were in place.
The provider had an effective staff recruitment and selection process in place and we found that staff had the appropriate qualifications and experience to meet the needs of people. The provider had effective record systems in place. People's records were stored securely. Staff records were well maintained and securely stored.
