During a routine inspection
People were given appropriate information regarding their treatment. A leaflet was available for people with information about the service provided. People told us they were 'always' involved in the planning of their treatment. People's needs were assessed and individual treatment plans drawn up in line with needs. There were arrangements in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies.
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. The decontamination of reusable instruments was in line with published guidance. Staff had received recent infection control training. One of the people we spoke with described the practice as 'super clean'. On the day of our inspection the practice was visibly clean and well maintained.
Staff received appropriate professional development. We saw records that confirmed regular training was provided on a regular basis and staff were encouraged to pursue personal development goals. There were systems in place to review and monitor the quality of the service.
