During a routine inspection
We visited the service out of hours and monitored calls made by the general practitioners on duty.
People were given the information they needed to make an informed decision about their care. We saw people were treated with respect and dignity.
We saw people were cared for effectively and care was planned for the individual.
We saw the service had systems in place to recognise and report abuse.
There was an effective and robust recruitment in place for staff. We saw all necessary checks were completed for staff before they started working for the service.
The provider had an effective system in place to monitor quality assurance and to record and monitor complaints. Complaints were taken seriously and responded to appropriately.
People who used the service were positive about the care and support provided. One person told us, 'The service is very good. They doctor was good on the phone and went through everything in detail'.
