During a routine inspection
We spoke with two patients who told us that they had found staff polite and respectful. They said that the procedure had been fully explained to them so that they understood what was taking place. People's comments included, "they (staff) were very good and explained everything properly. They put me at my ease," and "it's very good. They showed me how it worked and took time explaining things to me. Very good staff who were patient and kind."
A protocol on safeguarding adults was in place so that staff had access to important information and people's safety was promoted. Staff spoken with were clear of their roles and responsibilities within safeguarding procedures.
Sufficient staff were available to deliver the service. Staff had received appropriate training relevant to their role so that they had the right skills to do their job.
A quality assurance system was in place to formally obtain people's views so that people had the opportunity to voice their opinion.
