During a routine inspection
People were supported in promoting their independence and community involvement. Staff demonstrated a good knowledge and understanding of people's needs. Records showed that the people who used the service had a support plan in place detailing the support they needed
Staff we spoke with were able to demonstrate to us their awareness of storing, recording and administering medicines. We saw that staff conducted daily audits of medicines and any errors or omissions were followed up.
We found that the provider had carried out appropriate recruitment checks for people working at the home. Records showed us that references, qualifications and criminal records checks had been conducted.
We saw that the home had a complaints policy that was available to people in an accessible format. People who used the service were able to access independent advocacy support should they wish to make a complaint.
