During a routine inspection
We found people were involved in their care and were given choices about the way their care was delivered. One person said, 'I have massive freedom', and another told us, 'I do what I like when I like'.
People's needs were assessed and a plan devised and delivered to meet their individual needs. People were satisfied with their care. A person said 'It's perfect; I've got everything one can want'. A relative commented, 'I'm very happy, the care is very good indeed. They are very kind'.
The home had processes in place to protect people from abuse. 89% of staff had received safeguarding training. People felt safe and a person said, 'I never feel frightened'.
There sufficient staff with adequate qualifications, skills and experience to meet people's needs. One person told us, 'If I appeal to them for help they absolutely devote themselves to me for the time I need them'.
The provider had systems in place to monitor quality, including an effective complaints procedure. A person who had complained said they felt, 'Listened to'. They were adequate checks to ensure the home was safe.
