During a routine inspection
Patients care records demonstrated that advice given by the nurse-led team had resulted in treatment and support. Reviews of care had been undertaken in a timely manner and hospital staff said staff on the nurse-led team were accessible and knowledgeable.
Private space was available for sensitive/confidential meetings to take place. Desk space was provided for staff to undertake administrative tasks. The part of the hospital we visited was clean and appropriately maintained.
Staff had received appropriate training and said they felt they were given the support they needed to do their job well. Staff said they received monthly supervision and an annual appraisal, which they felt was supportive and offered personal development.
Records were legible and contained sufficient detail for the reader to understand what advice had been given and the reason for this. Patient's records were kept securely: they were accurate and fit for purpose.
