The practice had systems to manage risks, and recruitment procedures reflected current legislation.
The provider took immediate action to address one issue identified in the manual cleaning of dental instruments during the decontamination process. Other infection control procedures followed published guidance.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect.
At the time of our assessment, patients could access care, support and treatment when required during the usual opening hours of the practice which was currently 2 days per week.
There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
The practice is in Coventry and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses, 1 dental therapist, 1 practice manager and 1 receptionist. The practice had 2 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with the dentist, 1 dental nurse and the receptionist.
