Our view of the service

We carried out this unannounced on-site assessment on 19 November 2024. We found the practice had not met all regulations. Recruitment procedures, although reflected current legislation, were not consistently followed. The practice did not have effective systems to manage risks for patients, staff, equipment and the premises. There was ineffective leadership and culture of continuous improvement. The Dental Team is part of a dental group provider. The practice is in Stretford in Manchester and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces were available near the practice. The practice had 5 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 1 dentist, 1 trainee dental nurse, 1 dental nurse/assistant manager, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. The group area manager was also at the assessment. The provider was not complying with Regulations 12 and 17. Full details of the regulations the provider was not meeting are within the body of the report.
