Lutterworth Country House Care Home is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care. We carried out an assessment of this service to look at whether the service was safe and well-led. Our assessment included site visits on 9 and 18 July 2024. Following our assessment the service was rated good. This was because people received safe care and the service had effective governance and management systems in place to monitor and improve the quality and safety of the care provided. The service had a calm, caring atmosphere. People trusted the staff and felt safe receiving care and support from them. There were systems in place to ensure people were safely admitted to the service. Staff were trained in safeguarding and knew how to protect people’s well-being and keep them safe. Staffing levels ensured people’s needs were met. People’s medicines were well-managed. An infection control issue we identified on our first visit to the service was resolved by the time of our second visit. Staff had confidence in the registered manager who was steadily improving the service and addressing any remaining shortfalls.
