During a routine inspection
The practice had procedures in place for checking the emergency equipment was working and emergency drugs were in date. We found up to date checks and audits of infection control which were carried out on a regular basis. These showed that the practice was meeting the required standards of infection control. A patient told us the practice was clean.
All staff were required to maintain a five year period of continuous professional development as part of their registration with the General Dental Council. We saw staff had received training, for example, life support and infection control to ensure they had the skills and knowledge to work safely.
Systems were in place to monitor the service provision to ensure patient safety. Patients told they were happy with the service they received.
