Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must undertake a review of staffing levels to ensure that the levels of care staff working in the home are sufficient to meet the care and support needs of the service users living in the home. The registered provider must continually review the staffing levels ensuring service users changing needs are considered and send your review to the Commission on the first Monday of each month. You must also notify the Commission of all instances when you have been unable to staff the home in line with your assessment of the number of staff required.

The registered provider must send to the Commission on the first Monday of each month a summary of the action they have taken to ensure that:
a. Service users receive referrals to external professionals immediately when required;
b. Service user’s risks in relation to falls, skin and individual diagnoses including pica are assessed, monitored, and mitigated;
c. Service users have received their prescribed oral and topical medicines safely and monitoring systems have been effective in identifying any issues relating to those medicines;

The registered provider must send to the Commission on the first Monday of each month an updated action plan that shows what systems and processes have been implemented to ensure service users receive safe care and treatment and how these systems and processes are working effectively.

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 21 service users at Summerfield Care Home.

The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require personal or nursing care at Summerfield Care Home.
