During a routine inspection
It was apparent from our findings at this inspection that the absence of robust quality monitoring by the provider has been a contributory factor to the failure of the service to identify non-compliance, or any risk of non-compliance sooner. Improvements were required to ensure that improvements were made to individual's support plans. Improvements were also required in relation to staff recruitment procedures and selection processes and ensuring that all staff received appropriate training, supervision and appraisal. The provider must also ensure that an effective quality assurance system is implemented including a process and procedure for consulting with people who use the service and those acting on their behalf.
