During a routine inspection
We were able to speak with the registered manager (who still works as a sonographer), one sonographer and the administrator and some people who had used the service.
We saw people were given information about the procedure. One person told us they felt involved in the process and was able to ask questions.
We saw that equipment used was serviced regularly meaning it was providing accurate results. We were told there was an equipment replacement programme ensuring people had access to the most up to date equipment.
The duty rota was organised to ensure all clinics were appropriately staffed at all times.
People who used the service were protected against the risks of unsafe or inappropriate care and treatment as records were updated and stored securely in order to protect people's confidentiality.
