During a routine inspection
The service was in the process of developing a safeguarding policy and introducing procedures and training to ensure all staff were aware of how to recognise signs of abuse and what to do if it was suspected that abuse had occurred. However, at the time of our inspection this information was not available to all staff.
Staff were able to access a range of mandatory and additional training. However, there was not a formal process for regular supervision in place and staff told us they had not received an appraisal in the last year.
The views of people using the service were obtained and the latest findings showed that the majority of people were happy with the service they received. There was a process in place to monitor complaints and incidents. We saw that the few complaints that had been made were responded to appropriately and in a timely manner.
