During a routine inspection
We spoke with six people and two relatives about the service. One person said "I have regular carers and they make me feel included". Another person said "I cannot fault them". One relative spoke highly of the service. They said "they involve my wife completely, very caring and respectful".
We spoke with four care workers who told us they enjoyed working for the service. One said "I like this work. Helping these people is what it is all about. It is nice knowing I am making a difference to someone's life". Another said "the reward is knowing you have helped someone to help themselves".
We found that people were respected and involved in their care and how their care was planned and delivered. People were safe from the risk of abuse and we saw that the provider work appropriately with other agencies regarding safeguarding issues.
Care workers were recruited appropriately and were trained before delivering care.
We looked at accidents and incidents, complaints and quality assurance documents and saw that the provider monitored the performance of the service and responded to people's needs and preferences.
