During a routine inspection
The people who used the service told us that they were happy with their living arrangements. One of them showed us their bedroom which was organised in the way that they wanted with their choice of pictures, furniture, TV and hi-fi. They showed us a wide selection of music and DVDs they had bought for themselves. All of the people we spoke to who used the service said that their privacy was respected. They told us about the work they chose to do during the week and what they chose to do at weekends in their free time.
The carers employed by the service told us that they felt well-supported by the service's staff. One person said, 'Support is always there if I need it' and that carers were,'Kept up to date with regular training.' Another carer said the service's staff, 'Understand the type of problems we have to deal with' and that 'This level of understanding is important when dealing with self-employed carers.'
