During a routine inspection
Patients told us they were satisfied with the treatment they received. One said of the dentists, 'They're very professional and you get good quality care'. Patients told us they were asked about changes in their medical condition each time they attended the practice. This ensured staff were aware of any associated risks.
The practice was clean and hygienic. There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. Instruments were sterilised in a purpose built room that complied with the Department of Health's essential standards. We spoke with two dental nurses who showed a good understanding of how to sterilise instruments effectively.
The provider used patient satisfaction questionnaires to seek the views of patients using the service. We saw improvements were made as a result. Audits, covering certain aspects of the service, were used to improve the quality of service provided.
