During a routine inspection
People who used the service were happy with the support provided and described care workers as respectful and approachable. One person said, 'They go beyond the call of duty, they know exactly how I am from one visit to the next and always make time to comfort me'.
We saw that people's needs were assessed and support plans were developed in consultation with people. Staff we spoke with were able to tell us about people's needs although records did not always reflect health conditions, risks or how these were managed.
We found that staff were clear about the action to take should they become aware of an allegation of abuse. This ensured people were safeguarded from harm.
We found that appropriate checks were not undertaken for all staff to ensure they were suitable to work with people in their own homes.
People were confident that any complaints they had would be listened to and acted upon.
