Alexandra House is registered to provide care and support for up to 58 people. There were 50 people living at the home during this assessment. Care is provided for older people some of whom are living with dementia. The assessment was carried out between 18 June and 19 June 2024. There were enough staff on duty to meet people’s needs. Staff were experienced and trained well. Staff knew how to support people in a person-centred way, which promoted their independence. Risks were managed effectively, and staff had clear guidance to follow which was contained within detailed care plans. People were actively involved in decision making about their care, and staff ensured people felt included . People’s views and preferences were communicated and acted upon. People were supported to maintain relationships that were important to them. They were empowered and encouraged to express their views and provide feedback.
