Our view of the service
Felix House is a care home registered to provide accommodation, nursing, and personal care. The aim of the service is not to provide long-term residential care but to assist people to regain independent living skills. The assessment commenced on 21 November and was completed 29 November. The assessment included a visit to the service by an inspector on 22 November. We looked at 5 quality statements; Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Independence, choice and control and Equity in experiences and outcomes. Following the assessment, the service has received an overall rating of good for all quality statements assessed.
People's experience of this service
Throughout the assessment, we received positive comments and written feedback from people who lived at the service, relatives, staff and community health and social care professionals. Comments included, “They are very dutiful, they really try very hard”, “The staff were organised, considerate to their residents and appeared to be very aware of their needs” and "Staff talk to me when I’m feeling upset”.
