During a routine inspection
We looked at three people's care records. We found people were involved in an initial assessment of their needs and the care and support they needed was based on this. People told us they were supported by the same team of staff. This ensured people were looked after by staff who knew them well.
Staff had received training to help them recognise and respond to any signs of abuse or neglect. We spoke with three members of staff who told us they were aware of the action to take to protect people from harm. They also told us they would feel confident to speak out against poor practice if needed.
Staff were recruited safely which should help to make sure that only suitable staff were employed. We found there was an in depth induction for new staff and an ongoing training programme for existing staff. This should make sure they were confident, safe and competent in their role.
There were effective systems to monitor the management and delivery of the service. Appropriate action had been taken when any shortfalls were identified. This should ensure people continued to receive a good service at all times.
