During a routine inspection
We found that patients felt fully involved in their treatment. We saw records that confirmed that all aspects of treatment were discussed, consented to, and signed by both the patient and staff.
The clinic areas were clean, hygienic with appropriate equipment and facilities. We saw that the service followed the procedures and policies for appropriate infection control. The provider had taken steps to provide care in an environment that was suitably designed and adequately maintained. Patients had their comments and complaints listened to and acted on, without the fear that they would be discriminated against for making a complaint.
We looked at training records that showed that staff received the necessary training and skill development to help them perform their role safely and well. Patients were cared for by staff that were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to a good standard. Patients were made aware of the complaints system. This was provided in a format that met their needs.
