During a routine inspection
During our inspection we spoke with the registered manager and the service provider’s quality assurance manager. We also contacted by telephone three people who used the service and two care support workers.
The care support workers treated people using the service with respect and maintained their dignity. One person said that they found the care support workers to be "very good, very thoughtful and will do anything that you ask".
People who used the service had their care needs assessed and periodically reviewed. People were able to influence the way in which their care was delivered.
People who used the service told us they felt safe with the care support workers who visited them. Care support workers had received some training in connection with safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Staff were appropriately vetted during the recruitment process to help minimise the risk of exposing people who used the service to unsuitable workers.
Quality monitoring and assurance processes were in place. These processes would enable the service provider to monitor and improve the quality of service provided from this location.
