During a routine inspection
We spoke with three people who used the service who told us that they were happy with the service they were provided with. One person said, "It (the service) has been very good so far." Another person said, "I can't fault the place."
With one person's permission, we observed part of their appointment. We saw that the staff member interacted with the person in a friendly, respectful and professional manner. We also saw that when people arrived for their appointments the staff interacted with them in the same way.
We saw three people's records which showed that care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare.
We saw that there were appropriate arrangements in place to manage medicines. People were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. Checks were made on equipment used to ensure that it was fit for purpose and safe to use.
We spoke with two staff members who told us that they were trained to meet the needs of the people who used the service. Appropriate recruitment checks were made before staff worked in the service.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received. People's comments were listened to and acted on.
