Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
Condition 1
The Registered Provider must within 14 days of this condition taking effect, carry out
a review of your fire safety and emergency procedures, including: -
a) Ensuring fire safety equipment has been serviced and is in good working order.
b) Ensuring the environment is free from fire hazards.
c) Ensuring that fire safety related risk assessments are adhered to, reviewed and
updated as needed and fire risks are identified and mitigated within care plans.
d) Reviewing evacuation procedures for service users.
e) Ensuring governance systems are implemented to regularly audit and review fire
safety procedures within the service.
Condition 2
The Registered Provider must within 14 days of this condition taking effect, develop
that systems will:
2 a) Ensure that all ‘when required’ medicines have associated guidance to support
their safe use in line with NICE guidance for managing medicines in care homes.
b) Utilise a robust auditing system to monitor medication records for any errors or
omissions and take any corrective action as needed.
Condition 3
The Registered Provider must within 14 days of this condition taking effect undertake
a review of their recruitment procedures at 12 Collett Close including: -
a) Ensuring an effective recruitment policy is in place and adhered to
b) Ensuring risk assessments are completed and reviewed to mitigate and risks
identified by Disclosure and Barring Checks.
Condition 4
The Registered Provider must within 14 days of this condition taking effect undertake
a review of their infection prevention control (IPC) procedures including: -
a) Ensuring IPC policies and procedures have been updated and will regularly be
reviewed to remain in line with Public Health England COVID-19 Guidance for
maintaining services within health and care settings, infection prevention and control
recommendations, to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
b) Ensuring environmental audits and checks are undertaken.
Condition 5
The Registered Provider must within 14 days of this condition taking effect undertake
a review of service user support plans and risk assessments to ensure staff have
sufficient guidance and information, records are accurate and up to date and risks
are assessed and mitigated.
Condition 6
No later than twenty-eight days after these conditions come into effect the Registered
Provider must send the Care Quality Commission a written report regarding their
progress showing how these have been completed. The report should contain the
areas identified, action taken to address these areas, who will be responsible for
them and the quality arrangements going forward. After submission of the first action
plan, the Registered Provider must send to the Commission a monthly report on the
first Monday of the month detailing and outlining updates on the progress of all
reviews undertaken.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 4 service users at 12 Collett Close
The registered provider must ensure that the regulated activity accommodation for people who require nursing or personal care is managed by an individual who is registered as a manager in respect of that activity at or from 12 Collett Close
