During an assessment under our new approach
We conducted this assessment following receipt of information of concern relating to the safety of service users. We assessed 15 quality statements across the 5 key questions of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led, and have combined the scores for these areas with the scores from the last inspection. Our overall rating has remained as good.
At this assessment, we found that safeguarding was a top priority at the service and policies and processes in place ensured there was good oversight of accidents, incidents, and risks. Learning was embedded to promote ongoing improvements. We did identify some specific medication issues however; urgent steps were implemented by the registered manager to rectify these concerns whilst we were on site. We found that staff were kind, caring and compassionate. People were treated with dignity and respect, and their immediate needs were responded to in a timely manner. We found the service was well led with a robust auditing and governance system in place. People were encouraged to offer suggestions, participate in activities and were supported to maintain important relationships with family and their community.
