We carried out an announced comprehensive inspection at One5 Health City as part of our inspection programme of a new provider registration for the service. This was a first rated inspection for the service that was registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in December 2019. During this inspection we inspected the safe, effective, caring responsive and well led key questions.
One5 Health City is s an independent GP practice located in the City of London. The lead GP is the registered manager. A registered manager is a person who is registered with the Care Quality Commission to manage the service. Like registered providers, they are ‘registered persons’. Registered persons have legal responsibility for meeting the requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated Regulations about how the service is run.
Our key findings were:
- The service had a range of policies and procedures to govern activity.
- The provider organised and delivered services to meet patients’ needs.
- Patients could access care and treatment from the service within an appropriate timescale for their needs.
The areas where the provider should make improvements are:
- Document meeting minutes.
- Risk assess or obtain emergency medicines.
- Ensure all staff are up to date with role specific training.
