Our view of the service
Kilburn Care Centre is a care home providing personal and nursing care. Kilburn Care Centre is registered to accommodate 49 people. At the time of the inspection there were 23 people using the service. We completed an assessment of this service between 13 and 20 February 2024. We visited the service on the 13 February 2024. We spoke with relatives remotely about the experience of the service. The overall rating for the service remains Requires Improvement. People were at increased risk of harm. The provider's systems, processes and practices to make sure people are protected from abuse and neglect were not always effective. People's medications were not managed safely. The providers governance and management systems were not effective and did not bring about positive change for staff and people using the service. Care staff felt supported by managers and had the confidence to speak up, however, leaders did not take action.
People's experience of this service
People and their relatives told us they felt safe living at the home. They felt able to raise any concerns with the management. They spoke highly about the care staff, the management and the atmosphere at the home. Non the people and relatives we spoke to shared any concerns about the service.
