Our view of the service
Assessment activity started 19 September 2024 and ended on 7 October 2024. We assessed all the quality statements from the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. The overall rating for the service is good. Coyle Homecare is a domiciliary care agency registered to provide personal care to people in their own homes. The service provides support to people of all ages and different abilities. However, at the time of this assessment, they provided care and support to mainly children. The service supported 17 people who received personal care. CQC only inspect the service received by people provided with 'personal care'; help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do we also take into account any wider social care provided. There was a registered manager in post at the time of this assessment.
People's experience of this service
Relatives spoke positively about the care their family members received. They told us care staff were kind, attentive and caring. Relatives had confidence their family members were well supported and cared for. Systems were in place to help protect people from the risk of harm. Care records included information about how to manage potential risks to help keep people safe. Staff were recruited safely and trained appropriately to ensure they were competent for their role. People’s care and support plans reflected their range of needs. Staff told us they were well supported by their colleagues and management. Systems were in place to monitor aspects of the service and quality of care provided. We spoke with 10 relatives of people who received care and support. We spoke with 11 members of staff which included the registered manager, clinical lead nurse, senior care coordinators, compliance manager, compliance officer, nurses and care staff. We also obtained feedback from 2 care professionals.
