During a routine inspection
Whilst the young people did not wish to talk with us, the parents told us that the staff members they were involved with always explained options to them and helped them to make an informed choice. 'They asked us a lot of questions and have explained what is going to happen now', 'the service we receive is what out family needs but we had to wait for the appointment' and 'they wrote to us and asked us to ring and make an appointment and I was able to make the assessment appointment at a time suitable for us'.
Parents and young people we met when we visited the service told us that they were asked to consent to treatment and referrals to other services.
Parents we met and spoke with during our visit made the following comments about the care and support provided. 'I am pleased with the service, but we had to wait for a long time for our first appointment', 'the staff have been very clear in explaining what support can be provided'.
