During a routine inspection
'All the staff have spoken to me politely and respectfully since I was admitted. I was very involved in the decision to be admitted, and am involved in the way I am being helped to make sure I can go home safely.'
'I feel as if I still have control of my life. They have helped me tremendously and have asked my views and explained things at each stage. I feel that I will be able to manage at home with all the things that are being put in place to help me.'
'I am able to make choices in my life, I am asked my views about the way I am being looked after and how I would like to be helped when I go home.'
'The help I have had here is brilliant, I am able to walk again and my confidence has come back."
'I have been treated well at the hospital and since coming here (Buccleuth Lodge) for rehabilitation I have improved tremendously.'
"All the staff work with you to make sure you are happy and understand how your programme of rehabilitation can help you become independent again.'
We found that people's care and welfare needs were being appropriately met and they were being cared for in a suitable environment by adequate numbers of appropriately trained staff. A suitable system to deal with complaints was being operated.
