However people raised concerns that there were not enough activities on the wards at week-ends and that important decisions about their care and discharge plans had not been discussed or explained to them in a way they understood. One person, whose psychiatrist had suggested a community treatment order as part of her discharge planning stated, 'This is the first I've heard of it. I don't even know what it is or what it means'. Another person who had just been admitted to a psychiatric ward for the first time told us she had not been able to talk to any member of staff to explain to her what was happening, making her feel anxious and distressed. She told us, 'No one has talked to me today - I don't know what is happening or what to do'.
