During a routine inspection
We saw that children were offered constant attention from staff, were well cared for and treated with respect and dignity. We observed children and young people laughing and playing and one young person indicated that they liked staying in the service.
Parents told us that the 'home works well with us and make things as easy as they can. Things have really got better and easier over the past six months or so'. They said, 'we are happy to leave our child here and are confident they are safe, they would let us know if there were any problems'.
We found that the staff team knew how to protect children and young people and keep them safe.
We found that there were enough properly trained staff to meet the complex individual needs of the children and young people they offered care to.
We found that the home had ways of looking at the care they offered so that they could make sure they maintained and improved it. They listened to the views of the children and young people who stayed in the service and to their parents and other interested parties.
We saw that the home took health and safety seriously and kept people as safe as possible.
