During a routine inspection
We spent time observing how people were treated and saw staff spoke with people who used the service in a polite and respectful manner that encouraged decision making and independence.
People who used the service also told us they had enough to do. People who used the service said they were able to make decisions for themselves, and they were happy with the accommodation.
One member of staff said 'this is a brilliant place, we provide top care that is focussed on the patient and we involve patients in their care at all times'.
We observed people at meals times and were told the food was 'good'.

We spent time observing how people were treated and saw staff spoke with people who used the service in a polite and respectful manner that encouraged decision making and independence.
We asked people if they had any complaints but although they said they knew who to talk to they said they did not have any. People who used the service also told us they had enough to do.
People who used the service said they were able to make decisions for themselves, and they were happy with the accommodation. We observed people at meals times and were told the food was 'good'.

During a themed inspection looking at Learning Disability Services
Patients said that they were able to make decisions for themselves, and that they were generally happy with all aspects of the accommodation.
Other comments included:
'They look after me alright.'
'It is excellent, well looked after, I feel safe here.'
'Good food but don't get a great choice. '
'Never had a bad one (meal).'
'Going out to the shops is good.'
'I am happy here, the gardens are lovely.
