During a routine inspection
People we spoke with wanted more opportunities to discuss their problems with staff that they knew. They said that some agency staff were not very knowledgeable about their specific needs. However they said that, 'when they do ' (speak to staff) ' it is great'.
We saw that the care on the wards was delivered calmly and with compassion. Staff knew the people who used the service and understood their needs.
We saw that people were able to change practices at the hospital through their involvement, for example they had asked for more salads and vegetables in their diet and this had happened.
