During a routine inspection
People we spoke with told us positive things about the service. One person told us "It is wonderful and the staff are so good'. Another person said 'It is an excellent place. It has helped me to get my independence back". Staff told us that they enjoyed their work and that a good service was being provided to the people using it.
We saw that staff treated people with respect and dignity. People told us that choices were offered and their views had been taken into consideration about how the service was delivered.
People's needs had been assessed by a range of health professionals including specialist nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. This meant that people's health and care needs were monitored and met.
We found that the premises were adequately clean and processes had been implemented for monitoring infection prevention practice.
Recruitment checks had been carried out which prevented unsuitable staff working for the service and reduced the risk of harm to people.
Records that we looked at confirmed that systems were in place to monitor the quality of the service provided.
