Workforce wellbeing and enablement

Score: 3

There was a freedom to speak up (whistle-blowing) policy in place. Staff were supported to speak up about any concerns they had in the workplace. The provider saw this as vital because it helped them keep improving the service for people who lived at the home and improve the working environment for staff.

Staff told us they were supported and felt involved in the service. They received the training they required to carry out their role well and to ensure people received support in a person centred way. Staff had enjoyed the process of learning and developing to improve the service for people. At feedback the registered manager had asked as many staff as possible to attend because they had all been on the journey together. This showed the registered manager acknowledged staff and involved staff in a transparent way.
