Chiswick Nursing Care Centre is a nursing home providing care to older people with nursing needs and people living with dementia. The home can accommodate up to 146 people. At the time of our inspection 146 people were living at the home. Assessment activity started on the 7 February 2024 and ended on 18 March 2024. We looked at 7 quality statements: Safeguarding: Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Independence, choice and control, Equity in experiences and outcomes, Infection control and Safe environments. The site visit was unannounced. We met with 17 people who lived in the home. We spoke with to 2 family members visiting a person in the home and 9 family members by telephone following the site visit. We met with 18 staff including the registered manager. We reviewed records such as care plans for 10 people and recruitment files for 4 staff. Following our visit on site we reviewed a range of service records including, staff training and supervisions matrix, cleaning schedules, accident and incident logs, complaints and safeguarding logs and policies/procedures. We did not assess all quality statements at this inspection. For those areas we did not assess, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating. We did not identify breaches of any Regulations during this assessment. We will continue to monitor information we receive about the service, which will help inform when we next assess them.
