We spoke to 10 people and 2 relatives during our onsite visits. The feedback we received from them about the home and the care provided was very positive.

People were happy with the care they received and provided good feedback about the staff and the management. People felt safe. They told us, ‘It’s great here. I’m very pleased with it. I’ve been here for a while now’ and ‘It’s lovely here. If I had any concerns, I’d talk to the staff, then the manager. I feel very safe, and the staff are very good, very polite.’

People and their families told us they were involved in planning their care and their needs were being met. No concerns were reported about discrimination or any unfair treatment. People felt confident to complain if they needed to. They told us, ‘I’ve no complaints, but if I had any, I would have no problem talking to [registered manager] about them.’

People were treated with dignity and respect and were supported to understand their rights and options. Staff had the skills to meet people's needs and responded positively when people communicated their needs, emotions or distress. All the people we spoke to were positive about the care they received. They told us, ‘I’ve been here a few years now and don’t regret it as they are so good to me.’
