Servoca Complex Care - Chelmsford is a domiciliary care agency providing personal and nursing care to people living in their own homes. At the time of our assessment 13 people were using the service. We carried out our on-site assessment on 5 September 2024, off site activity started on 2 September 2024 and ended 12 September 2024. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. The assessment was prompted due to concerns raised in relation to staff performance and training. We looked at 9 quality statements which included the key questions of safe and well led. We found the service had fully investigated any issues with staff performance and training was in place to meet people’s specific needs.

People's experience of the service

Updated 27 August 2024

People and relatives were positive about the care provided to them or their family members. They told us they received a consistent staff group who understood their needs. They told us their staff were well trained and understood their complex needs. Whilst the majority of people and relatives were happy with their current care and support teams, we did receive some feedback in relation to contingency planning when their support teams were not available. However, we were told they had been assured by the service this was now in place.
