Staff we spoke with understood the importance of promoting independence and knew the people they supported well. Staff were able to give examples of how they would offer choices to people and gave examples of how they adapted their level of support to people based on their individual abilities.
We observed staff maximised peoples independence and offered choices throughout the day. All of the interactions and support interventions we saw were respectful. We observed people had access to activities in communal areas.
