Our view of the service
Date of assessment 8 May 2024 to 14 June 2024. This assessment was in response to CQC receiving information of concern. People were receiving safe care. There were some instances where risk assessments had not been completed individually or in full to show the correct levels of risk. We found there were also some instances where care plans were not in place for people. This had been identified by the provider and there were plans in place to make these improvements, this had not impacted on people or the care they received. Safeguarding procedures were in place, the home was in good repair and medicines were managed in a safe way. People received care based on their assessed needs. The principles of The Mental Capacity Act were followed. We observed some nice interactions between staff and people, people were offered choices and were cared for in a kind and caring way. People received care that was responsive and based on their individual needs, it was person centred and planned for with people. The systems in place were effective in identifying areas of improvement and making changes when needed. Staff felt involved, supported, and listened to.
