Updated 9 January 2024
St Matthew Road provides accommodation and personal care for up to 10 people who have learning disabilities and some associated physical and/or sensory disabilities. 9 people used the service at the time of inspection. Inspection activity started on 16 January 2024 and ended on 23 January 2024. We have rated this service Good. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. We spoke with 7 people and 1 relative about their experience of the care provided. We used the Short Observational Framework for Inspection (SOFI). SOFI is a way of observing care to help us understand the experience of people who could not talk with us. We spoke with the registered manager, the deputy manager and 4 care staff.
