People’s care was planned with them and considered what was important and mattered to people. The provider aimed to provide care and treatment in line with good practice and standards.

Delivering evidence-based care and treatment
People told us they felt staff supported them to live as they wanted and most told us they felt staff saw them as a unique person with their own strengths and skills. One comment we received was, “I just have to say what I want and they just make sure I get it.”
The provider had systems in place that ensured relevant service polices around best practice and personalised support were in place. Recognised national tools within electronic care planning and best practice was ensured by consulting relevant healthcare professionals.
Staff told us they supported people with care in line with their needs. Staff told us that care practice changes or needs changes were communicated to them by the provider. One staff member said, “Involving people to understand and manage risks can improve outcomes and experience.” Service leaders had polices around care and support planning to ensure it was person-centred.
