Responsive
The service was responsive. People were cared for in a way which met their needs and reflected their choices. People's equality and diversity needs were respected and met.

Person-centred Care
People received personalised care which met their needs and reflected their preferences. Relatives told us they and their family member were involved in making choices and planning their care and staff were flexible. Some of their comments included, ''[Person] can choose what they want, how they want it and when.” Another comment was ''The carer gives [person] a choice and asks them their preference for what they want to eat.”
The manager and staff were able to give us examples of how they supported people in a person-centred way. They gave examples of people being supported during a religious period late into the evening another example was scheduling calls around a person’s prayer time to avoid interrupting them or any inconvenience being caused. Staff also gave examples of asking people their preferences of what to eat, how they want their tea or how they wanted to be showered. Staff were passionate when describing what person centred care meant to them and confirmed that they would be happy for their family to be supported by the service.
