It’s a much happier place.” Another staff member said, “Staff morale has improved and it’s much better. [Manager] is a good manager and knows their stuff. It’s settled down a lot and the staff and residents are happy. It's their [residents] home we are just lucky we get to visit every day.” Another staff member said, “I have worked here 3 years and seen lots of changes. Things are 100% better since the new manager took over. She is approachable and I like her leadership style, she has changed lots of things in a positive way.”
The manager had utilised the providers governance systems, used them effectively and had begun embedded them into practice. New systems had also been introduced such a ‘Resident of the day,’ which focused on one person each day and ensured they were receiving care and support in line with their needs and preferences.
