Responsive
People received care and support from staff that reflected their individual needs, including those related to protected characteristics under the Equality Act. People were involved in planning and making decisions about their care so that it was centred around them and their needs. People received the most appropriate care for them as the service made reasonable adjustments where necessary.

Person-centred Care
People received care that was centred on them and their specific needs, resulting in positive outcomes. A relative told us, “The care that [family member] gets is excellent. [Family member’s] keyworker is wonderful with [them]. [Family member] is always clean and tidy and always looks nice and very well cared for.”
Staff provided care and support to people that reflected people’s choices and preferences. Staff made sure people were happy and comfortable with the care they wanted to provide and listened to people’s thoughts and views about this. If people wanted to have their care provided in a different way, staff respected this and delivered this in line with people’s wishes.
Staff were able to explain their role in respect of each person they supported without having to refer to people’s records. This was because they knew the person, their needs and their preferences, well.
