Our view of the service
Sambhana Care Ltd is a domiciliary care service, they support people in their own homes. The service support people with personal care and everyday tasks to remain as independent as possible. We completed this assessment between 12 January 2024 and 19 January 2024, we visited the office on the 12 January 2024. We spoke with people, relatives and staff remotely to gather their views about the service. At our last inspection, we found some shortfalls in care and management oversight of the service, at this assessment we checked to make sure improvements had been made. We assessed 7 quality statements including Safeguarding, Involving people to manage risk, Safe and effective staffing, Medicines, Independence choice and control, Equality in Experiences and Outcomes and Governance and assurance. We found improvements had been made in these quality statements since our last inspection and these were assessed as good. The overall rating of the service is now Good.
People's experience of this service
People and relatives told us, staff supported them safely and in the way they preferred. Many people receiving care from the service did not speak English as their first language. Relatives told us people were supported by staff who spoke their language and understood their culture. A relative told us, “They can have a conversation now and more importantly work out and let us know if anything is wrong. They felt isolated before but now communication is so good.” People commented about the caring nature of staff and how they supported them, one person told us, “They are like my daughters.” People told us they were supported by a consistent group of staff. Staff always arrived for calls, and people did not feel rushed during their care. Relatives told us there had been improvements within the management of the service. The management was responsive when they contacted the office and were flexible if the calls needed to be changed at any time. Relatives had also been informed of any changes with their loved ones and staff had supported with accessing healthcare when needed.
